The flaming dragon of passion rises within me
wings ablaze
vermilion fire
sparking like crystal lightning

I tear at the flesh of life
straight to the heart
drink my fill
and soar once more

I fell asleep
momentarily
at the dayshine altar of mediocrity and complacency

But not today my Love
today we ascend
hurtle through the cosmos
drunk on the wine
of this love sublime
