I lay down all my resistance
Surrender
to my heart
my body
my life
to the strains of cosmic music that caress the periphery of my consciousness
to the many faces of love that come knocking at my door
to stretch me
break me open to infinity
knock down the castle walls of my
perceptions

I dissolve under moonlight and starlight
I am a rippling pool of silver mercury
fragmented
across the universe
yet whole unto myself

I am the red rose
crushed under the weight of all my limitations
yet reborn
again and again
in service to love’s kingdom
