An interesting possible implication of this concept is that, since there is growth in mortality, mortality itself might be a necessary precondition for the possibility of immortality (in humans, I know some other creatures are naturally immortal).

I once asked M about the concept of old souls as obviously there are some on this planet who seem a bit more “advanced” than others. He did not agree with the concept of old souls as he did not believe in reincarnation. Other lives are being experienced by the Twin and that is where those occasional past life memories surface from.
Fair enough, I guess I am not going to know for sure until I am Immortal. There is also the concept of the ghost train which no doubt increases our understanding every time we ride it. Like Groundhog Day.
I feel as mortals we really do need to grow and assimilate all our experiences and understanding which we take with us into the immortal realm.
